At Bell, we are proud to work for an iconic company with superb talent, rapidly creating novel and coveted vertical lift experiences._Job Summary:The position will operate various state-of-the-art, major, and basic machine tools with precision measuring instruments to support scheduled and on-time manufacturing and production operations in a safe manner and with quality workmanship.Job Responsibilities: Required to support scheduled manufacturing and production operations. Required experience with state-of-the-art machine types and able to operate four major machine tool categories: turning, milling, boring, and grinding. Required experience with all basic minor machines, both powered and manually operated, plus all related machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Responsible for incorporating tool design engineering changes and maintenance of assembly tools. Maintain program, set up, and operate computer controlled, programmable and manually controlled machines in four major machine tool categories. * Perform advance lay out, develop, edit, proof, and correct programs for major machine tool categories. Must be able to work from verbal instructions, programmed media, diagrammatic planning and Engineering blueprints, sketch sheets, templates, and similar directions and established specifications. Responsible for maintenance, disassembly, repair, and reconditioning of production portable tools. Follow preventative maintenance procedures on equipment as prescribed by the supervisor and report operating difficulties of equipment. Repair defect parts for manufacturing when required. Keep machine clean and well lubricated and work area orderly. Perform duties in accordance with company policies. Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement including productivity, quality, safety, environmental and ergonomics. Perform other duties as required.QualificationsQualifications: Minimum a junior or senior in high school. Ability to read and interpret prints or drawings, make average to complicated arithmetic calculations, and resolve elementary technical problems. At least 16 years of age. Successful participants will complete all on the job training topics and oral exam within 12 weeks.
