Job Description
Total Fire Protection is expanding rapidly, presenting an exciting and challenging opportunity to bring your fresh ideas, polished expertise, and collaborative attitude to support our growth. The Production Technician will be directly responsible to perform all functions associated with inventory maintenance, fire extinguisher reconditioning, and picking items for service calls according to work order pick tickets. As a Technician Team Member, you will report directly to the Production Manager and perform various tasks related to Portable Fire Extinguishers. We are willing to train the right candidates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Understand Total Fire Protection’s strategy, business, and growth initiatives.
- Cleaning, painting, and removing/applying proper stickers and signage.
- Performing maintenance, testing, and repairs of extinguishers.
- Refilling and recharging extinguishers to return to active service.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Manage materials and inventory throughout the shop and storage areas.
- Provide direct assistance to the Field Service Technicians for daily material and stocking requirements.
- Assist in maintaining, cleaning, and preparing the shop and fleet vehicles for daily work requirements.
- Other hands-on daily work tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager or other team members
Requirements:
- Be 18 years old or older
- Possess your GED, High School diploma or equivalent
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Possess a valid and current state driver’s license
- Must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for an extended period of time and be able to lift and carry a minimum of thirty (30) pounds.
- Prior Field Service Technician experience at a Fire and Life Safety company a plus
- Prior experience maintaining, testing, and repairing fire extinguishers a plus.
- Hands-on warehouse and/or maintenance experience a plus.
