PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working under the supervision of our warehouse manager, the Warehouse Pre-Apprentice would:
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups with supervisor and may need to coordinate with project managers, assistant project manager and foreman.
- Building loads for deliveries, verify accuracy of loaded products before and after delivery to jobsite.
- Loading / unloading materials
- Maintaining a safe load
- Adept with dealing with unexpected situations (traffic, weather, equipment failures, etc.) in a timely manner
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and reports and signs for any corrective action taken for repair while notifying supervisor of issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment used to meet DOT guidelines
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures.
- Comply with all safety regulations within the company and jobsites, including but not limited to; wearing safety glasses, hardhats, vests, etc. when required.
- Notify supervisor immediately of accidents or violations.
- Fully understands and complies with DOT securement standards.

Qualifications
- Currently hold and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT physical medical card
- No major violations or accidents on driving record (past 36 months)
- Individuals need to sit, stand or walk as needed ; must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.
