Description
This position supports the Manager and Director of Corporate Planning in producing detailed financial analysis for executive management and delivers analytics on current and historical financial performance to support forecasts and long-range projections. This role plays a key part in budget preparation and will also work on some of the most strategically important initiatives that the Company may undertake including business development scenarios.
Build and maintain detailed financial models and prepare internal investment presentation materials for TGNR’s leadership and the Board of Directors.
Conduct in-depth financial and operational analyses of our assets, the strategic plan, our investments, and contemplated acquisitions.
Participate in, and support monthly reporting, budget to actual analysis, financing, hedging, and insurance.
Coordinate with various functional areas to gather relevant financial data to periodically revise short-term forecasts and model assumptions.
Assist with credit facility amendments and renewals, working with the Accounting department on debt covenant calculations and compliance, and preparing materials for bank meetings.
Support business development initiatives including: preparing valuations, business plans, preparing capital structure plans, analyzing tax consequences of various structures, and analyzing accounting implications of various structures.
Generate financial and operational dashboards using business intelligence tools.
Assist with the integration of financial planning & analysis (FP&A) software.
Contribute to the improvement of current tasks and processes.
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required in finance or related field
Excellent financial modeling, presentation, oral and written communication skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and properly prioritizing workflows
Experience with Anaplan, Hyperion, Planful, or Quorum products (Planning Space, Enersight, etc.) is preferred
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
Prior exposure to the energy industry is preferred
