What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Production Manager position at TGC Search?
Requirements & Duties:
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Excellent people management abilities.
- Develop and compile daily Par Sheets to track stock levels and determine daily preparation needs, assigning tasks accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to recipes and procedures to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Oversee preparation and batch production for the current location, ensuring all production deadlines are met to prevent shortages.
- Supervise the packing of orders for future satellite locations.
- Monitor production and quality control to identify and resolve issues.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, inventory, and ordering systems.
- Manage production budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure effective collaboration and coordination among relevant departments, including R&D, procurement, distribution, and management.
- Ensure the production of quality products that comply with Safety, USDA, and Customer regulations.
- Establish efficient production processes for all company product lines.
- Ensure all products meet QA, DOH, and USDA standards.
- Maintain effective communication between the Shift Manager and supervisors, identifying significant issues related to quality, safety, downtime, production problems, or other unexpected issues.
- Possess NYC Food Handlers Certification.
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing or high-volume catering/commissary environments.
- More than 5 years of supervisory experience in food production.
- Strong understanding of USDA, OSHA, FDA, DOH, GMP, and HACCP regulations.
- Experience in recipe development and pricing.
- Proficiency in inventory management.
- Background in food science.
