Thales is seeking an Environment, Health, and Safety Manager in Melbourne, FL. The HSE Manager will be responsible to deploy and promote the site HSE Strategy and Management System. Ensure the company is compliant to Thales, customer and regulatory requirements. Ensure all HSE site certifications ISO14001 and ISO45001 are properly managed and maintained. Manage and maintain the site regulatory and product training program and ensure timely completion and record keeping. Manage the Business Continuity program for the IFEC site in coordination with NORAM and Group leadership. Key Responsibilities: Deploy and promote the site HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Strategy and HSE Management System Ensure company processes are compliant to Thales, customer and regulatory HSE requirements Ensure all site HSE certifications (ISO14001 and ISO 45001) are properly managed and maintained Act as Subject Matter Expert in regards to HSE Regulatory requirements and their impact on the company’s procedures and policies Act as the main interface with Customer, Supplier and HSE Regulatory authorities Ensure compliance to all applicable HSE regulations/requirements (OSHA, EPA, local authorities etc…) Manage and promote the HSE training requirements necessary for all company employees Develop and manage the company’s annual HSE audit plan Ensure site HSE processes are aligned with Group Policies, Tools and Processes (CHORUS and Intelex) Define, collects and analyse operational indicators, assess results and suggests improvements if necessary Analyze legal and other requirements. Identify the HSE risks and impacts and deliver the HSE compliance matrix Collaborate, develop relationships and share Best practices with worldwide Thales counterparts Lead the annual HSE Management review with the Executive team Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the HSE program Maintain the Business Continuity program across the IFEC sites Participate in internal and external audits of the IFEC sites as well as other Thales sites as required (AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001) Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required in Operations, Chemical, Business or related discipline Minimum of 8 years of experience in a HSE regulatory management role Familiar with all applicable HSE regulations/requirements. Familiar with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards Strong English language, oral communication and technical writing skills required Ability to work independently and handle pressure situations Ability to train others Must work well in developing relationships with other departments within organization Accuracy, attention to details and consistency in work Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience in an Aerospace service environment a plus Q-Pulse (QMS), Intelex, SAP (ERP), Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point This position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check.
