Assistant Manager/Leasing Agent

Property management company looking for as Assistant Manager/Leasing Agent.

We are a busy property management company looking for a full-time leasing agent. We are seeking a qualified, motivated, and experienced individual to assist with operations of a market-rate apartment community located in Norwich, CT.

Previous office experience is preferred as well as a background in customer service and sales.

Job responsibilities would include but are not limited to-

Greet current and potential residents in a professional, welcoming manner

Effectively track traffic, tours and applications

Review and process all rental applications

Collect rents and make daily deposits

Enforce rent collection policy

Update, maintain and prepare various daily, weekly and quarterly reports

Present the property and market apartments online and in person

Prepare leases and other property documents

Communicate through phone calls, emails and faxes

Direct and schedule maintenance staff

Assist Property Manager with all duties

The proper candidate would have solid multi-tasking abilities and strong communication skills (both verbal and written). Attention to detail and ability to work independently on assignments is necessary. You must be proficient in MS Office and Yardi property management software, experience is preferred.

Additionally, personality is key! The ideal candidate would possess a friendly and outgoing personality, plus be customer service-oriented and have the ability to sell. A professional appearance and demeanor are essential. A minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service is preferred. This position is ideal for candidates with retail sales, hospitality, and/or administrative experience. We are willing to train those with transferable skills.

The position is full time, hourly, plus commissions. We offer 401K, vacation, sick time and medical.
