Shipping/ Receiving Clerk
Thar Process has an immediate opening for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk in our RIDC Fox Chapel site to provide support to our growing manufacturing operations. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk ensures timely systematic reconciliation of shipments and inbound materials related to quality, operations, and sales.
Essential Functions:
Maintain inventory and packaging activity
Examine contents and compare with records, manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments
Prepare documents, work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route material
Record shipment data, shipping charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
Determine shipping method for materials
Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as a cart, hand truck or forklift
Pack and prepare materials for shipping
Correspond with vendors and customers to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
