Are you passionate about animals and looking for a rewarding part-time role? Tharp Animal Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and caring Kennel Assistant to join our team!

Responsibilities:

Feed, water, and exercise boarded pets.
Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in indoor/outdoor runs, cat condos and related areas.
Monitor the health and behavior of the pets, noting any changes that may need veterinary attention.
Administer medications as directed by veterinarians.
Attention to details making sure pets have their own belongings.
Attention to detail to ensure that each pet’s specific dietary needs, medications, and personal care routines are followed.
Bathing and assisting groomers with pets to keep them clean and comfortable
Laundry and some janitorial duties.
Provided plenty of love and attention to our furry guests.

Requirements:

- Previous experience of working with pets is an asset.

- Ability to handle and care for pets with compassion and patience

- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with customers.

- Willingness to learn proper restraint and bathing techniques.

- Positive attitude and willingness to take instruction and guidance from Kennel Manager

- Must have the ability to follow instructions on medication where pet receives proper medication and the instructed amount.
