Fine Dining Server

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fine Dining Server. The Fine Dining Server will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, operating the POS system, setting and clearing tables, and maintaining a clean and organized working environment. The Fine Dining Server is expected to follow Thassos Standards of service, professionalism, and dedication to the Thassos Team. The Fine Dining Server is expected to arrive for their shifts with clean and professional attire respective to the uniform standards of Thassos. The Fine Dining Server must be teachable, with a willingness to learn the standards and structure set forth by Thassos Greek Restaurant. The Fine Dining Server is expected to actively learn the menus (both food and cocktails), and demonstrate their professional knowledge to the guests.

Qualifications

Experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.

Experience in a fast paced, high volume restaurant.

Excellent customer service, communication skills, and professionalism is a must.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Ability to execute orders in a timely fashion, while maintaining calm and professional composure.

Experience with operating POS systems, and the ability to adapt to new POS systems.

Basic knowledge of Greek cuisine and wines is a plus but not required.

Willingness to learn, to be coached and adapt to new menus and wine lists.

Willingness to learn, uphold, and demonstrate the standards of fine dining service put forth by Thassos Greek Restaurant.

Ability to obey orders and responsibilities expressed by Management, and Ownership.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
