POSITION SUMMARY
The SQL Database Developer is responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining internal applications and programs. The SQL Database Developer will primarily work with MS Access and SQL Server. This position provides an opportunity for someone to expand the role into analytics and database management.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Learn and maintain existing company MS Access and SQL Server architecture
Modify existing MS Access applications and SQL automated tasks as needed
Design and develop database architectures and data models to improve company productivity and/or processes, and engage in the database development process from inception through delivery
Provide customer service and support to internal as well as external clients.
Perform upgrades to MS Access applications as needed
Migrate current MS Access based database applications to SQL Server and integrate with current front-end interfaces
Assist with efforts and development to define data gathering, analysis and reporting processes
Unit testing during the software development process
Follow company coding standards and best practices
Create and maintain supporting documentation

Must be good at solving problems in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:
Current College Student or College Degree or equivalent relevant experience
3 years' experience working with the following technologies: MS Access, VBA, SQL Server, and split databases architecture.
The candidate must be able to build and maintain MS Access applications coded with advanced VBA using SQL objects to query and manage information.
Experience with SQL Server and relational databases.
