The Bartender is responsible for providing exemplary service in the Bar & Restaurant, attending and serving the restaurant area as well inside and outside patio and special events. The upscale yet casual setting is intended to promote an environment of casual elegance in setting and atmosphere that exudes genuine care and heartfelt service. Responsible for set up and break down of restaurant bars and/or other Food and Beverage areas. Providing an unforgettable experience from the first point of guest contact to the departing farewell. Engaging with guests, anticipating their needs and taking initiative to improve their time with us will be focus areas for the Bartender. In a high end cocktail bar and restaurants, where more complicated meals are prepared and are often served over several courses, bartenders provide more formal service. They emphasize personal, attentive treatment at a more leisurely pace.
Bartenders often meet with managers and chefs before each shift to discuss the menu or specials, review ingredients for potential food allergies, or talk about any food safety concerns. They also discuss coordination between the kitchen and the dining room and review any customer service issues from the previous day or shift.
In addition, bartenders usually check the identification of customers to ensure that they meet the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcohol. If the guest looks 30 years or younger the bartenders will have to ask for Id. If the guest dislike this or does not have any ID with them service can be refuse

- Food Handlers Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of food & beverage serving or related experience in an upscale establishment.
- Fluency in the English language.

- Exude a warm and sincere approach to guest service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide exemplary food & beverage service to guests at Alchemist Garden.
- Proven ability to engage and connect with guests as they are seated, offering unique experience head and shoulders above the rest.
- Strong knowledge and experience of cocktail making,food, beverage & wine.
- Remain knowledgeable of all menu items with the ability to offer assistance and suggestions to all guests.
- Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
- Carry trays, bus, and set tables including linens and flatware according to standards.
- Complete opening and closing side work.
- Ring up sales, print and close checks properly.
- Identify guests by last name.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while constantly remaining alert to guests’ needs and desires while spending time in the restaurant.
- Personally handle guest concerns and complaints whenever possible, deferring to the manager/supervisor on-duty when necessary.
