Construction Concrete Finisher and Carpenter
The Allen Company is seeking a, experienced, qualified, hardworking dependable person for a concrete crew position in the Central Kentucky area.
Responsibilities:
Perform general hands-on physical construction tasks that could include operation of heavy machinery such as curb machine, skid steer, backhoe, excavator, compactor etc., and performing general carpentry and concrete tasks. Safely and efficiently perform general construction functions with various types of hand tools and small power tools.
- Be able to read blueprints, sketches or building plans for information on type of material required, constructs concrete forms, places concrete in forms, ties re bar and finished concrete.
- Frame, form, pour, and finish slabs and footers etc...
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a positive driving record.
- High-quality attitude.
- The desire and ability to learn.
- Must have 1-year minimum experience in Commercial construction and concrete.
- Knowledge of construction processes, industry, and delivery methods.
- Curb Machine experience a plus.
- CDL License is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude are essential.
- Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50-75 pounds.
- Be able to work in confined spaces.
- Physically able to climb.
- Able to comply with all safety procedures and requirements including wearing Personal Protective Equipment on a daily basis.
- Able to function outside year-round.
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
- Must be able to pass a pre employment drug screen, physical, and background evaluation.
