Description: Technology specialists provide support services for technological systems, programs, and networks. They oversee the implementation, configuration, updating, and maintenance of IT systems and components. Perform a variety of technical tasks and duties relating to the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of all agency technology, computer, and software components and applications. In conjunction, these tasks will be expected to be performed with a high level of social and intrapersonal skills as demonstrated through communication, teamwork, and collaboration.
Main duties include:
• Use established diagnostic techniques to perform troubleshooting and repair procedures on inoperative and/or malfunctioning computers, peripheral devices, multimedia equipment, and communication devices; carry out a thorough analysis to identify recurring problems/trends to establish root causes.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and analysis procedures to identify and correct network access and connectivity-related problems; thoroughly analyze recurring problems/trends to establish root causes.
• Set up and configure computer-based technology resources using established industry protocols.
• Perform operating system (OS) and application installations/updates on networked computers.
• Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair records and logs.
• Provide on-site support for Alliance Employees proactively and reactively address day-to-day technology concerns and issues.
• Be able to perform physical duties associated with the delivery and relocation of technology equipment; includes maintaining the appropriate inventory documentation.
• Be able to successfully fulfill work order requests in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Be able to multitask in time-sensitive situations while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency expectations.
• Develop job-related planning goals and project task lists, and prioritize job/work requirements with a minimum of supervision.
• Provide appropriate technical advice and assistance to other staff.
• Assist with contractors involved in technology projects and services.
• Perform other technology tasks and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and experience at this Level:
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Initiate, retrieve, and respond to E-mail, voice mail, and written correspondence accurately and in a timely manner.
• Must be able to learn and become proficient in various teleconferencing platforms.
• Capacity, technology, and connectivity to work remotely.
