About the position:
This project-oriented role assists in the day-to-day operations of data and constituent relations ensuring adherence to the creation and maintenance of master data including data ownership, data management processes, data standards, and optimization for efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Create and catalog written policies and procedures of the Constituent Data department, creating a master handbook for training and ongoing practices
- Work with the Constituent Data team to create a master ‘style guide’ for entering constituent data into Raiser’s Edge
- Perform daily import of all gift transactions and provide progress reports and project status to the Director of Constituent Data
- Assist with annual reports and projects including holiday card distribution, updating coding for the new fiscal year and creating new annual appeals for use by the data team
- Ensure contact lists and relevant data for assessment, analysis and communication are available in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as backup on all projects related to list creation, reporting, and importing of relevant data into Raiser’s Edge
- Respond to requests for information for grant applications
- Identify areas of additional quality controls to be put in place within our data entry processes
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience with non-profit data in a development/constituent environment
- Data-driven and business minded with a solid understanding of the nonprofit space and the functions of a development department
- Proven ability to manage workflow and processes
- Experience creating reports for data analysis
- Well-organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication, analytical and project management skills and the ability to effectively manage deadlines, track and coordinate multiple projects and thrive working independently in a remote environment
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel proficiency with the ability to learn new software (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Engaging Networks software proficiency are a plus)
- Prior experience importing gift transaction is a plus
