POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, preparing agendas, and meeting materials, and providing liaison support for all ACOTE and Standing Committee meetings and conference calls. The position holds responsibility for assuring that the operations resources and work plans support the strategic goals and objectives of the Division and subsequently the Association, and assures that coordination and communication within the Division and necessary interdivisional collaboration occurs to achieve programmatic and operational goals.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Ensures that all logistics, agendas, and materials are prepared for ACOTE meetings.
  • Provides administrative and liaison support at all ACOTE meetings and conference calls and prepares ACOTE minutes and summary of discussion. Prepares and tracks ACOTE action letters. Ensures that academic programs receive reports of ACOTE findings in a timely fashion and that reports and letters are consistent with ACOTE practices and regulatory requirements. Oversees preparation of the ACOTE confidential minutes and history book and works with appropriate staff to ensure timely completion of ACOTE charges. Prepares correspondence, lists, and articles summarizing ACOTE accreditation actions for internal and external distribution. Liaisons with legal counsel regarding all minutes and action letters to ensure compliance with AOTA standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures all logistics, agendas, and materials are prepared for Educational Standards Review Committee (ESRC) meetings. Provides administrative and liaison support at ESRC meetings and prepares minutes of discussion.
  • In collaboration with appropriate staff, assigns ACOTE reviewers to reports and forwards correspondence and reports to assigned reviewers.
  • Oversees the process of updating the school’s database. Records, acknowledges, and processes all reports, PD credentials, minor and substantive changes.
  • Prepares and maintains documents for publication/distribution, including the Listing of Educational Programs in Occupational Therapy (LEPOT), articles related to ACOTE accreditation actions, and all Web-based lists, rosters, and policies.
  • Responds to and processes appeals regarding accreditation decisions and/or policy. Oversees preparation of responses to all routine accreditation correspondence.
  • Model the AOTA culture values throughout the workplace and employ them in all interactions with peers, managers, volunteers, members, and other stakeholders.
  • Engage innovative and creative solutions to problem solving and designing business solutions that advance the goals assigned to your role.
