The Anderson School is looking for a
violin teacher with a passion for teaching beginners as young as three for a weekly Saturday and/or Sunday lesson schedule. This teacher could also take over an established schedule on Monday and Wednesday in August, 2024.
Our ideal candidate has a degree in music with an emphasis in violin performance or pedagogy and at least two years of teaching experience. We will consider current music majors for this role. We are looking for candidates who have a solid foundation in the instrument they teach. You must have a passion to teach young beginners, as young as a precocious three-year-old, to adult. It is critical that our teachers instill a love for music in their students in our quest to build a generation of lifelong musicians. Ideally you live in the South Bay. Please, no out of state applicants unless you have a locked-in date for when you are moving to our area, thank you.
All lessons are taught in person at our Los Gatos location. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important. Starting pay for a teacher with a music degree or equivalent experience is $40 per hour with a potential raise after a 90-day assessment period.
Saturdays: 9am-12pm, 12-4pm (can combine with an appropriate lunch break)
Sundays: 10am-2pm
Mondays: 3-7pm (beginning August 2024)
Wednesdays: 2:45-7:15pm (beginning August 2024)
