Job Posting for Accounts Receivable Specialist at The Arc Mid-Hudson
New full-time opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist, located in Kingston!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare, submit and track all electronic billing data to Medicaid and related funding sources on weekly or monthly basis
- Research and resubmit all denials on a weekly basis
- Responsible for accurate and timely monthly billing for preschools to counties and reporting to school districts
- Ensure necessary documentation and related information are accurate and up to date prior to submission of claims
- Examine claims for accuracy and request any missing information
- Take payments as needed (cash, credit cards, checks)
- Process EFT payment posting daily including weekly Medicaid remittances
- Prepare State and County vouchers as required
- Monitor Contract terms and expiration dates
HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates Degree or 3 years of relevant experience in an Accounts Receivable environment
- Medicaid billing experience in a Human Services agency or Long Term Care Facility is required
- Solid understanding of billing software, electronic medical records and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
- Superior computer skills including Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Financial software and general ledger entries
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.63 - $25.09 per hour
