What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Inspector position at The Arc of NC?

Position Status: Full- Time

Location: Greenville, N.C., and surrounding areas

Education Requirements: Prefer bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university.

Experience Requirements: Candidate must have experience in conducting home inspections, construction and home maintenance, Microsoft Office applications and data bases, preferably in a professional office environment.

Prefer experience with people with disabilities. Must be able to sustain a large amount of travel, including overnights, and schedule and manage large amounts of information successfully. Organizational and planning skills with an ability to effectively prioritize work tasks is a must.

Responsibilities: The Property Inspector will (1) schedule and conduct physical inspections of all properties in a large region and issue reports on those inspections, (2) coordinate, schedule and follow-up on all HUD, REAC and NCHFA inspections as necessary, (3) assist with minor repairs and help coordinate larger repairs, (4) ensure compliance with various local, state and federal regulations, help respond to tenants’ needs as they arise. Responsible for maintaining company vehicle inspections and maintenance. Will work closely with the Property Manager and other Property Inspectors to resolve property issues as they arise.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
