The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live the lives they choose. Everyone has unique needs, so at The Arc, theres no one-size-fits-all approach to our supports.

As a Regional Manager, you will facilitate and manage the operations of assigned group homes and living arrangements for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Regional Manager ensures quality, individualized living services by maximizing choice, person-centered thinking, and inclusive opportunities. Your attention to detail, initiative, and ability to think creatively under pressure will shine as you focus on employee coaching and management, planning and support for persons served, and quality services. The Regional Manager reports to and partners with the Assistant Director of Living Options & Services to transform services to match The Arcs strategic vision, DDA waiver guidelines, and the CMSs Community Setting Rule.
The ideal candidate will facilitate day-to-day operations, act as a key contact with external stakeholders, and engage with people we support and employees regularly. Managing, coaching, and supporting your direct reports will be essential to your leadership role, in the same way that monitoring individual house budgets, coordinating shifts, and maintaining a system for continuous quality improvement are essential functions of the position. Supporting the development and implementation of new homes and programs, representing The Arc at hiring and community events, and providing shift coverage when necessary are all in a days work for our Regional Manager. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, though a bachelors or Masters degree in social work, education, or a related field is a plus, along with five years working with and supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, with at least three years in a management role supervising front line managers and Direct Support Professionals. Candidates must also possess a valid drivers license with no egregious records and complete all required Arc and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) trainings. The position requires a flexible schedule to support the needs of a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week operation, with a typical work schedule of Monday-Friday with varying hours each day, This position has regular and frequent night and weekend hours and is eligible for moderate telework. The salary is $57,750 per year plus a competitive benefits package.
