Come join our Financial Management Department at The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter! In this role we are seeking one to be responsible for the accurate timely billing of and accounting for Non-Medicaid Waiver services and supports. This accounting work involves an in depth understanding of billing requirements and processes from both internal and external sources in addition to an ability to follow generally accepted accounting principles in the reconciliation, review and reporting of the various general ledger and subsidiary accounts associated with this function.

Responsibilities:
- Billing and Accounting: Prepares, facilitates, records, reconciles, and monitors billing process in addition to tracking payments and performing collections from funding sources inclusive of but not limited to - Contracts- OPWDD, OMH, SED , BOCES, Schools, ACCESS-VR, (etc.)
- Maintains work papers and reconciliation of related general ledger and subsidiary accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepares related reports inclusive but not limited to unit reports, billing analyses, aging analyses, etc.
- Maintains filing of related records and information in an organized and systematic manner.
- Works with the Sr. Office Clerk to ensure Federal and State Social Security benefits and SNAP benefits are received timely, notices are reviewed, and proper follow up is completed.
- Cash Management: Facilitates the preparation of the daily deposit in conjunction with Accounts Receivable Manager, applies payments and posts payments to all customers and funding sources
Qualifications:
- AAS degree in accounting or related field. Three years' work experience in accounts receivable preferred.
- Working knowledge of billing functions from billing processing- to receiving- to accounting.
- Working knowledge of computer office applications with a minimum intermediate level proficiency in Excel required.
- Experience working with accounting and billing software; Great Plains and Fund EZ preferred.
