What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher, Grade 2 position at The Archdiocese of Baltimore?
St. Agnes Catholic School located in Baltimore, Maryland has an opening for a second grade teacher. The teacher will be responsible for all core classes including Religion. The Teacher would need to be comfortable with technology as well as teaching using an iPad. This is an in-person teaching opportunity for 2023-2024.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements instructional programs that adhere to system wide (AoB) and school goals and priorities
- Creates an instructional environment that conducive to learning
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner
- Communicates standards, achievements and deficiencies to students and parents through email, phone calls, conferences, and electronic grade book
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students both in and outside of the classroom
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Early Elementary Education
- Must be an active practicing Roman catholic
- Current MSDE certification
- Experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred
- Knowledge of principles and practices of pedagogy
- Ability to properly maintain confidential information
