The Arena Club, located in Bel Air Maryland, is currently seeking highly motivated and experienced Sports Performance Manager to join our team and develop the Sports Factory program. This position is directly associated with client services, program development and growth, new client and team acquisition, and interaction within the sports performance community. Under general direction of the Wellness Director, the Sports Performance Manager will be responsible for recruiting, conducting and monitoring strength and conditioning of all individual and team training. The Sports Performance Manager must be passionate and experienced about sports performance and the positive experience of our athletes.
This position will contribute and generate revenue to the club through honest and enthusiastic program development, sales and services. This position will be expected to program for, coach and man all Sports Performance programming within the offered hours. Additionally, the Sports Performance Manager is expected to foster existing and create new relationships within the athletic community that will add value to the athlete experience, adherence and rapport to the program.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement and update an intake assessment protocol and subsequent sports performance program for all individual, small group and team training with regular scheduled reassessments and a long term focus on improving athlete performance and retention.
· Primary contact for all sports performance inquiries.
· Primary Mentor for all sports performance coaches.
· Responsible for performance team development to ensure the application of safe and appropriate exercise prescription, appropriate testing measures and long term athlete development.
· Ensures the program renewal, re-assessment needs and accountability for each athlete in the program.
· Aggressive recruitment and lead generation for Sports Factory programs and memberships.
· Generate new leads by organizing work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets from new clientele and current program membership.
· Ensure the safety of facility for athletes and coaches and the day-to-day operations of the Sports Factory.
· Ability to communicate effectively with members/guests and sports performance team in a professional and courteous manner.
· Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills.
· Provides historical records by maintaining records on customer sales, rosters, client management and detail as Key Performance Indicators.
· Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly for processing.

Facility and Benefits: The Arena Club is a total Health and Wellness center that offers member services such as Personal Training, Weight Loss Programming, Small Group Training, Strength and Conditioning, Sport Specific Training, Group Exercise, Medical/Physician’s Referred Exercise Programming, Aquatics and other Wellness services. Required Experience/Credentials:
· Minimum three (3) years of experience
· Active CPR with AED prior to start
· Nationally Accredited Strength and Conditioning Certification (NSCA, NASM, CSCCa, etc.)
· Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management or related field
