We are a local family business that has been operating in the islands for over 35 years and employ about 150 employees.  The Art Source, Inc. is the parent company to our three sister companies - Pictures Plus, Plus Interiors & CocoNene.  Our core competency as a business is local manufacturing of customizable products for the home: artwork, interior furniture & home decor.  We make all the products in our factory on the west side of Oahu in Kapolei and we sell to our customers through our various retail locations on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. We are currently hiring for our CocoNene brand.  We sell island lifestyle home decor and personalized gifts and souvenirs. We are looking for a part-time positive, driven, up-beat sales associate to be a brand ambassador to all things Aloha for our store in Ala Moana. This means providing unmatched customer service, selling our fun, unique and Hawaii-made decor & souvenirs straight from the local artists and designers we partner with, all while imparting our own unique Hawaii stories with clients. Pay options are either: 1) a base hourly between $16-18/h or 2) a commission structure of base pay $15/h commissions (average $16-20 /h). Part-time employees qualify for an employee discount of 25% across all sister companies. Day-to-day responsibilities:

- Assist customers with shopping experience, sharing our story, brand and products

- Hitting individual sales goals

- Keeping the store looking great at all times

- Stock/inventory & shipment duties

- Cash handling, operating point of sale programs, preparing bank cash deposits

Here is what we are looking for in candidates:

- Experience in customer service and retail preferred

- Experience with handling cash and point of sales systems

- Conversational Japanese, preferred
- Warm, friendly, positive attitude, excited to share the Coconene Way and products with customers

- Goal-oriented, driven to grow sales

- Strong desire to learn, grow and improve

- Reliable, disciplined, self-motivated, and takes the initiative

- Able to work independently

- Flexible, ability to adapt to daily responsibilities

- High school graduate or equivalent

- Flexible/open availability (store hours 10am-6/8pm)
