Job Posting for Material Lab Technician II at The AZEK Group LLC
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist in expanding our understanding and use of WPC products to characterize and specify recycled WPC blends.
Assist in a phase or key part of a project by analyzing processes, products, or equipment against desired results, including formulation characterization.
Utilize pilot and lab scale mixing and extrusion equipment to generate and process test blends.
Conduct experiments to improve upon or duplicate various materials and processes.
Recommends improvements to R&D instrumentation, equipment, and lab procedures based on results analyzed.
Assist in all trial runs, field evaluations and analysis of customer requirements for a project.
Presents meaningful results and unbiased conclusions to R&D and other technical functions.
Adhere to Safety First and the "I believe in ZERO" approach in all activities
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an Associate Degree in engineering, applied or physical science.
Other desired skills:
Working knowledge of polymer processing analysis, testing and equipment.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and report data, including testing equipment troubleshooting.
Excellent mechanical aptitude.
Understands lab scale processes and technologies for mixing and/or extrusion.
