Job Overview:
The Baddour Center is a model residential community for persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities or autism in NW Mississippi. Home to around 120 residents, The Baddour Center offers a beautiful and tranquil setting on 120 acres in a safe and nurturing environment.
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Home Coordinators / Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to our residents This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents in all aspects of their life in one of the various residences at the Center.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Assist with giving medications
- Teach residents the skills to live as independently as they can
Skills:
- Experience or background in caregiving, home health, nursing homes or assisted living facilities or related fields
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols
- Familiarity with care practices
This position provides full time pay and benefits for working one week on and one week off (2 weeks a month). You must be able to spend the night in a room / with amenities provided for you..
