The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for ensuring the operation and appearance of the property’s equipment and structures and completing service and repair requests in an accurate and timely manner. Our Maintenance Technicians have broad technical knowledge of appliances, equipment, and maintenance functions in a multi-family residential community. Their patience and people skills take them a long way. Their ability to pay attention to minor details while staying organized makes them an essential and valuable contributor in Creating Exceptional Living Environments.
\n- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Experience performing various types of maintenance
- Knowledge of or experience working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines
- Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances and HVAC systems
- Skill or experience working with electrical systems, typically in a maintenance situation where no license is required
- Demonstrate professionalism and superior customer service at all times
- Organizes prioritizes and ensures service requests and repairs are made correctly and on time
- Assists with makeready operations
- Assists Maintenance Supervisor with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies at appropriate levels
- Inspects grounds, buildings, and other community features daily to minimize liability concerns and always ensures excellent curb appeal
- Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to adhere to budgeted guidelines.
- Ensure the physical condition of the community is being maintained according to company operating and safety standards
- Ensures adherence to the company’s safety and hazard communications programs, policies, and procedures
- Reports physical safety hazards in the community to the supervisor
- Ability to uses independent judgment to determine actions to be taken, priorities, emergencies, etc.

- A minimum of 1 year of related Property Management experience
- Basic computer and Internet knowledge
- Ability to be on-call as scheduled or as necessary
- EPA certification Type I and II
- Valid Driver's license and current automobile insurance; this position requires a vehicle to fulfill all job functions
Work Hours
This position is scheduled for 40 hours in a regular work week. Hours of operation are open from 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm, and on Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Maintenance Technicians must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking “call” during evenings, weekends, and holidays and must be able to perform the essential job functions unaccompanied.
