Host

As a host for our sports bar, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers. You will be responsible for warmly greeting and seating guests, taking reservations, and managing the flow of the restaurant to ensure all guests are taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. Your energetic and welcoming personality will set the tone for our sports bar and make our guests feel at home. With your attention to detail, you will also assist with keeping the restaurant clean and organized. Overall, your friendly demeanor and love for sports will make you an integral part of our team, providing our guests with the best possible dining experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, servers and bar personnel.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Have good knowledge of the restaurant, bar and seating chart.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Responsibilities

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering and leaving the restaurant.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guests’ names. (Wait List)
• Provide guests with an estimated wait time.
• Manage wait list, and have the ability to locate guests in the restaurant when their table isready.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Seat guests based on their preferences while managing customer flow in server sections.
• Upon seating, offer guests menus and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect tablefor proper presentation, settings and completeness.
• Relay/Communicate messages to servers and bus persons as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave the restaurant and invite them to return.
• Maintain cleanliness of the entire restaurant.
• Maintain exceptional grooming habits.
• Learn and Operate Open Table System.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
