Program Manager

BHL Federal is a national contractor looking to partner with local, state, and federal government agencies across the country in their disaster recovery programs. We are looking for a candidate willing to relocate to new destinations for long periods of time while the program is in its early stages (4-12 months).

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Description:

Our first project is the federally funded state managed reconstruction program of low to moderate income areas of Alabama. We are looking for a program manager to run our Alabama division which is responsible for reconstruction and rehabilitation of traditional residential site-built homes and manufactured housing units (MHUs). In this role, you will be responsible for the overall success of the Alabama disaster recovery program.

The current position will be in person in the Mobile, AL office. You will be expected to have enough initiative to work side by side with the BHL Federal President and build the Alabama division from scratch. You will then be required to replicate this throughout the years in new parts of the country. The candidate must be able to implement processes and workflows in order to help build a highly efficient company. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation, including both the construction and administrative aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Set the macro-level schedule of projects.
• Management of all construction activities and administrative activities of the program.
• Delegation of tasks to project managers, administrative assistants, and site supervisors.
• Learning client software tools for communication and scheduling (canopy, salesforce, etc.)
• Ensuring the overall satisfaction of the client (ADECA) and Horne LLP.
• Train project managers on construction takeoffs and material procurement.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and find resolution to PM/Sub arguments or sub to sub issues.
• Communicate (written and verbal) progress reports to clients on a weekly basis.
• Pushing high priority projects.
• Ensure the office team is delivering the required project documentation to the director of compliance.
• Reviewing cost to complete and WIP reports to confirm projects are meeting projected margins.
• Final level of subcontractor invoice review.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 5 years of residential manufactured or modular construction experience.
• Strong organization skills, initiative, and eagerness to learn.
• Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems.
• Strong Leadership ability and Teamwork mentality.
• Adaptability.
