What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/Front Office position at The Being Well Center?
Clinical Medical Assistant urgently needed for front office duties at The Being Well Center, an innovative private specialty practice for Attention Deficit Disorder diagnosis and treatment. The BWC does not participate directly with insurance plans but requires insurance plan information for prescribing medications and prior authorizations. Duties include supporting front office staff with scheduling patients for in office or telemedicine appointments, assisting with check in/check out/payment collection, updating demographics in Advanced PM system, answering and triaging phone calls and data entry into EHR system. A strong background in managing electronic records and implementing kiosk check in and supervising interoffice and patient communication through EHR portal is preferred, but will consider a self-motivated individual willing to learn.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in medical office with electronic record system and ICD-codes and billing codes
- Proficient in electronic health records with experience transitioning from paper charts to new EHR system/scanning documents
- Experience managing and updating all parts of EHR system/E-Prescribing system preferred, not mandatory
- Faxing/Scanning/Drop Box documents
- Use of Microsoft Office/Excel/Reports
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communications skills and ability working on own as well as participating within a team environment
Salary negotiable and commensurate with background and experience.
