In this position, you can expect to utilize your knowledge to assist the accounting team with general ledger activities, financial statement preparation and analysis, forecasting and payroll.
The Accountant role works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Specialist to ensure timely completion of general ledger activities and financial statement analysis. This role will also serve as back up for processing payroll for our internal companies.

Job responsibilities:
- Managing the day to day accounting transactions
- Monitoring cash flow and forecasting cash needs
- Reconciling the bank statements
- Responsible for quarter and year-end payroll tax filings for our internal companies
- Processing payroll for our internal companies (serve as backup)
- Reviewing and uploading ACH files to the bank
- Recording journal entries and analyzing financial statements
- Preparing account reconciliations
- Creating and analyzing Account Executive commission statements
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing improvements to processes
- Preparing ad-hoc management reports
- Preparing, creating, and exporting reports/documents in Excel and Word
- Assisting with other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience
- Strong math and computer skills; including knowledge in Excel
- Professional, self-motivated and positive attitude
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily duties
- Strong communication skills and relationship skills
- Works well individually and with a team
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
