This Forbes 4-Star hotel has over 500 rooms, 60,000 square of feet of banquet space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes 2 restaurants, a lounge, and in-room dining.
- Shift: Various - must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Union Position:This position is part of the Local 501 Union which requires complete open availability. We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.
What is required as an Engineer Apprentice?
- Work under the immediate and close supervision of a journeyman Engineer or higher position.
- Learn the operation, maintenance, and repair of various machinery and equipment through diversified experience, on-the-job training, and related formal instruction.
- Expected to complete all on-the-job and academic training as set forth by the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
- Required to maintain satisfactory progress in all levels of the program.

What will I be doing?
As an Engineer Apprentice, you will assist Engineers and trains with Engineers / trade mechanics to learn to maintain the physical functionality of the facility including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas. Specifically, this includes but is not limited to:
- Perform a variety of repair and maintenance and cleaning tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry.
- Inspect guestrooms, public space and heart-of-the-house for needed and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain detailed record-keeping of all work orders and completed assignments.
- Perform additional office-related work (i.e. receives deliveries, runs errands for parts, etc.).
