The Block in Fondren is hiring a part-time Social Media Coordinator to assist our marketing team with creating organic content. Boasting 10 lanes of bowling, a Tiki Bar, a restaurant, a cool pizza joint, and an amazing new outdoor space for movies, live music and more, the Block is the go to place for entertainment in Jackson!

Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Job Activities:

  • Support local management on marketing, advertising and programming initiatives

· Create & publish entertaining, informative content to social media

· Interact with followers, fans and reviewers to create a strong community

  • Communicate regularly with Trifecta’s Marketing Department (TMS)

Job Responsibilities:

· Attend bi-weekly meetings with TMS to learn about upcoming programs, campaigns, etc.

· Complete and respond to all assigned tasks in Basecamp in a timely manner

· Conceptualize, capture, edit, and draft story & post content for Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok

· Compile monthly social media recaps, including analysis

· Monitor & respond to reviews, messages and comments on social media and local listings platforms

· Support influencer marketing efforts, as needed

· Review relevant content samples, blogs, articles, etc. provided by TMS

· Provide photo/video content for other purposes, as needed

· Maintain library of content including naming and categorizing of photos and videos

· Support management of internal creative postings including print and digital

· Support grassroots marketing efforts by attending local events, submitting onsite events to local calendars, etc.

Working Hours: Based upon business levels and determined by the TMS and The Block Management. Estimate ~20-25 hours/week

Pay: $16 - $18 based on experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
