Contract and Insurance Risk Administrator

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Contract and Insurance Risk Administrator will act as the main point of contact for all internal and external contract and insurance needs including:
Client Contract review
Subcontract review
Automobile
General Liability
Worker’s Compensation
Umbrella
Professional Liability
Pollution
Builder’s Risk
Core Accountabilities:
Provide contract review during all phases of contract administration.
Track all communication and changes during the review process.
Gather relevant information for various sources including redacting information from documents.
Applicable knowledge of the legal system including trial preparation, preparing discovery documents and working with CFO and legal counsel.
Organizing and archiving documents related to completed and ongoing cases
Keep track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes.
Review and assess insurance policies to ensure appropriate types and levels of coverage are maintained, including making recommendations for change as required based on current market requirements.
Ensure insurance policy requirements are being met.
Provide assistance and advice to internal staff with respect to insurance policy coverage and general insurance questions.
Manage additional named insured (ANI) program, including:
Administer the program in accordance with Bobbitt policy
Act as the liaison between the ANI and our insurance provider
Manage the renewals of ANI policies, including invoicing.
Administer insurance claims, including collecting information related to the claim, and working with the Bobbitt’s insurance provider and assigned adjustor to provide the information necessary to achieve resolution.
Manage payments related to claims.
Collect and analyze insurance claims data including reviewing and reports from the insurance provider and making recommendations to minimize losses.
Manage the renewal process for insurance policies.
Verify accuracy of property, equipment and vehicle inventory lists at time of renewal to ensure all such assets have insurance coverage
Respond to internal staff requests for adding or deleting property, equipment or vehicles to or from insurance coverage.
Create and modify procedures, maintain up to date records, and documents related to insurance
Work with the CFO, Agent and Adjusters to ensure proper coordination of legal actions
Provide assistance and advice to internal staff with respect to insurance requirements for a variety of contracts, as required.
Deliver high quality internal customer service by responding promptly to requests and concerns
Communications with the external insurance provider, as required.
Assist with insurance budget.
Prepare reports and/or presentations, as required.
Support the Manager in achieving the insurance related goals of the department.
Notification of local authorities when necessary
Work with adjusters, detectives and criminal investigators to solve incidents.
Position Requirements:
Paralegal experience preferred
Commercial insurance background along with three (3) years of insurance experience preferably in construction or a multi-disciplinary organization.
Comprehensive knowledge of insurance principles and practices
Demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational, prioritizing, time management skills, problem-solving skills and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Proficient identification of complex problem.
