Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Lead Custodian to support our business on the 2nd shift in the Chantilly, VA. area.
Position Responsibilities:
- Possesses extensive knowledge of specialized cleaning processes and all aspects of custodial processes, techniques and overall daily operations
- Demonstrated awareness of customer needs and addresses issues with minimal supervision
- Provides guidance to less experienced custodians and ensures custodial manager is aware of relevant issues
- Possesses and applies extensive knowledge of specialized cleaning processes to clean, shampoo, scrub, polish and/or wax specialized flooring such as carpet, marble, terrazzo, stone, and tile
- Point of contact with outside vendors for equipment usage and repairs. Ensures equipment repairs are completed appropriately
- Ensures egress/ingress safety concerns are addressed with urgency and accordance with established safety procedures
- Applies proper safety techniques and storage methods in the completion of daily custodial activities and provides guidance to less experience custodians
- Has extensive knowledge of the security requirements for multiple areas
- Creates plans and arranges team schedules in support of daily cleaning activities and revises schedule if warranted
- Obtains and provides information to lessen customer business disruption during custodial activities
- Maintains awareness of supply levels and initiates reorder when supply goes below required levels
- Extensively tracks orders, maintains documentation and ensures supply delivery to required areas
- Provides guidance on specialized cleaning techniques to less experienced custodians and may recommend training changes to custodial management
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).
Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3 years' experience custodian/janitorial services
- 3 years' experience leading a team
- Able to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
- Capable of working 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and Outlook)
- SAP basic experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate 5 years' related work, Bachelor 2 years' related work, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
