Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Contract Management Specialist within the Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SIWS) division supporting the Missions & Payload programs based out of Fairfax, VA .
This is an excellent opportunity for a high performer who is looking to gain valuable experience as a customer facing contracts representative. This opportunity is to support Argon ST, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, which is a leading provider of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and combat systems. Position Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and submittal of proposals (competitive and sole source), contract negotiations/settlements, assessment of terms and conditions (including Federal Acquisitions Regulations/ Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulative Supplement (FAR/DFAR) regulations), and evaluation of relevant business risks associated with contract execution
- Provide contracting expertise to develop and execute creative business solutions
- Resolve complex contract and customer issues during all phases of the contract, embracing ingenuity and an innovative mindset
- Represent Boeing to external customers, including U.S. Government, industry partners, and Global customers
- Exercise commitment/signature authority, as appropriate, to negotiate and contract for research, development, production, and sustainment efforts
- Provide direction in accordance with Boeing policies and procedures
- Ability to work with multi-disciplined and international teams and collaborate with a positive attitude
- Strong communication and presentation skills
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. This position currently requires 2-4 days a week onsite at the Fairfax, VA location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 5 years' experience leading or managing proposal development and negotiating government contracts
- 5 years' experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
- 5 years' experience with negotiating commercial, FAR/DFARS or legal terms and conditions in a contract
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with multiple contracting types
- Experience with international workforce and customers
- 3 years' experience leading a project and/or teams
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
