The role of Product Manager, Digital Collaboration will lead product management of digital teaming and team messaging solutions such as Slack, MS Teams, and other messaging related products, to drive adoption, integration and effective usage in conjunction with our other knowledge products and toolsets. In this role, you will be on the leading edge of key knowledge, collaboration and data driven technologies for a leading professional services firm. We are seeking experienced, innovative candidates with a strong passion for collaboration and knowledge technologies, team enablement, data/analytics and product management to fill a Product Manager position focused on deploying and managing complex, primarily third-party collaboration and digital teaming products. Candidates should possess an entrepreneurial drive, meaningful SaaS-type product management expertise in the digital collaboration and teaming space, as well as experience with knowledge based software products or similar technologies.

Product Strategy, Development & Engagement
- Lead the team messaging product vision, design and roadmap execution for key digital collaboration tools, in alignment with BCG’s overall knowledge management strategy
- Drive continuous user engagement in partnership with other stakeholders to deliver exceptional user experiences and strong product adoption
- Own overall digital product deployment and execution responsibility, including adoption, cost management, integration and satisfaction.
- Develop internal investment business cases for new and/or incremental product capabilities
- Serve as a collaborative thought leader, leveraging internal BCG as well as external expertise in relevant areas in order to bring the best possible solutions to the table
- Establish long-term product planning processes and activities, integrating efforts with other workplace digitization initiatives, functions and stakeholders
- Partner with respective teams to advise on branding, communications and change management activities for the platform
- Work with legal and risk management to proactively address issues associated with confidentiality and data privacy
- Business Requirements Gathering & Prioritization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key groups (IT, Marketing, Enablement, Innovation, Learning & Development, etc, to identify areas of strategic partnership, prioritize roadmap and evaluate innovative solutions that address critical business needs
- Effectively manage stakeholders' expectations while building credibility with senior stakeholders through a strong business sense and balancing of priorities
- Lead and organize the prioritization of product capability enhancements, functional improvements, operations and user support
- Set and adjust product release schedules as appropriate
- Work with an Agile mindset and approach to team collaboration and management in conjunction with broader Agile transformation efforts
- Design and grow an exceptional product management team instilled with highly effective product management capabilities and operations, utilizing Agile methodologies
- Align with technology team management to create and establish development and support teams as necessary, defining system scope, integration requirements and functional objectives based on user‐defined or system needs
- Drive exploration of data science and analytics based
Product Training & Support
- Collaborate with team members to create business requirements documentation
- Partner with Engineering team to create clear and complete architecture, design, and specification documentation in collaboration with other stakeholders
- Work with stakeholders, IT and other functions to grow the support model and channels for assistance
- Engage with vendors, software companies and collaboration experts to deeply understand their product roadmaps, value delivered, capabilities and economics
- Analyze support trends and data for possible opportunities to improve product
- Work with our Data Science team to evaluate product usage data and incorporate outcomes into product planning and support work
- Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of digital product management experience or equivalent experience in a product oriented role (e.g., product owner, program leader, etc.) is required
- SaaS platform and digital product experience required with products like Slack and MS Teams, digital teaming product experience strongly preferred
- Experience with other digital collaboration tools strongly preferred (Egnyte, Trello, Microsoft O365 suite, Jira, Confluence, communities-based software, etc.)
- Significant vendor relationship management from a customer perspective required
- Experience leading and collaborating with product owners, business analysts designers, developers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver effective product is required
- Experience with agile development processes and best practices is strongly preferred
- Experience executing programs for major digital products in a professional services, or global, matrixed organization preferred
- Knowledge and experience with data analytics, machine learning, mathematical or algorithmic oriented product experience preferred
- Ability to thought partner with both senior business and technical/functional stakeholders
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills – able to adapt communication style to multiple stakeholders and cultures as part of a global team and support product communications
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel (including international), expected to be less than 25%
