  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Successful completion of Central Sterile Supply Program
  • For Incumbents : Complete ten (10) hours of continuing education credits in order to remain qualified to perform the functions of a Central Service Technician
  • Certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) - Required Effective January 1, 2015
  • Incumbents to the Position as Of January 1, 2015 : Provides evidence was employed as Central Service Technician in healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one (1) year, occurring within the four (4) years immediately prior to January 1, 2015.
  • Able to read, write and speak in English. Able to communicate effectively
