As the Facility Director, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and management of the facilities department. You will play a pivotal role in upholding institutional standards and compliance with regulatory requirements and will have a focus on sustainability efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of supervisors and administrative staff.
Assess and oversee the campus infrastructure, including building maintenance, custodial services, and groundskeeping.
Coordinate small project work and forecast long-term capital improvements for the campus.
Manage personnel matters such as annual reviews, disciplinary actions, payroll, and attendance.
Collaborate with subcontractors for services such as preventative maintenance and repairs.
Maintain the budget, processing invoices and expenses efficiently.
Remain available for after-hours emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective responses.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years' experience as a facilities manager, preferably in an academic setting.
Proficiency in building maintenance and facilities management.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Excellent organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
Customer service orientation and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, days, and weekends as needed.
