Lead, Manage, and Inspire:
As Facility Director, you'll lead a dedicated team of approximately 140 employees, including 5-6 direct reports, in managing the maintenance, custodial, and grounds functions across 73 buildings and 2.6 million square feet of campus space. You'll play a key role in strategic planning, infrastructure assessment, and long-term capital improvements, ensuring an exceptional environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities That Empower:
Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse team of division managers and administrative staff.
Oversee all aspects of campus infrastructure, including building maintenance, custodial services, and groundskeeping.
Coordinate small project work and develop long-term capital improvement plans.
Manage personnel matters, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, payroll, and attendance.
Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure preventative maintenance and timely repairs.
Manage the department budget, process invoices, and track expenses.
Be available for after-hours emergencies to ensure prompt resolution.
Qualifications That Matter:
Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience as a Facilities Manager, preferably in an academic or similar setting.
Strong understanding of building maintenance and facilities management best practices.
