What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Program Analyst position at The Building People?
The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Diversity and Inclusion Program Analyst supporting the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) with the Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO). The Diversity and Inclusion Analyst will support the AMO Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Team in analyzing current Diversity and Inclusion strategies as well as develop and implement a new Diversity and Inclusion strategic plan to include more inclusive and targeted stakeholder engagement plans; develop and or update existing policies, procedures, strategic implementation plans; as well as develop and deliver tailored training related to the mission.
Positions Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Integrate themselves with AMO Technical Programs by attending team meetings and conducting 1:1s with Technology Managers to fully learn and understand technical goals/priorities of the Programs and give guidance on how DEI can be integrated
- Collaborate with AMO DEI Working Group
- Analyze and interpret EERE and White House DEI guidance and give guidance on how to implement within AMO
- Writing reports and presentations and delivering reports and presentations to a variety of audiences, including senior leaders
- Stay current with DEI news and trainings; summarize and disseminate information to AMO staff
- Participate in meetings with AMO (to include leaders at all levels of the agency and others, as needed) related to diversity and inclusion and/or data topics.
- Create, analyze, and administer surveys using appropriate survey design, survey sampling methodologies and analyze survey data using statistical techniques.
- Carrying out both primary and secondary data collection and analysis activities, interpretation of data and analytic results, data reporting, and development and vetting of recommendations as it relates to Program funded projects
-Identifying data sources and data integrity, accessing the data, data analysis, and developing internal and external briefings and reports with findings and recommendations.
- Clearly communicating data analysis, findings, conclusions, and recommendations through static (PowerPoint presentations and briefings) or interactive presentations (Tableau), and via written reports (e.g., white papers, memoranda, information papers, emails, reports).
- Using critical thinking skills during the execution of duties as necessary.
- Write and maintain supporting documentation, Stakeholder Engagement Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and guidelines for data cleaning and process documentation.
- Support annual, quarterly, and ad hoc internal and external reporting requirements for the agency by preparing and delivering briefings and reports as needed for both technical and non-technical audiences.
