The Bywater, Chef David Kinch's Southern-inspired restaurant in Los Gatos, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team!
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of cocktails and beverages, as well as providing excellent customer service to our guests.
Must be able to work weekends!
Shifts required are Friday - Sunday, 10:00am - 4:00pm with possibility for Monday shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking and inventory management
- Ensure that all guests are provided with excellent customer service, and handle any guest inquiries or issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests
- Maintain knowledge of current beverage trends and make recommendations to guests as appropriate
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Bartender in a high-volume restaurant or bar
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktail recipes, as well as beer and wine
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with the team
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid California Food Handler and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) permit

This position plays a major role in a guest's dinner and/or bar experience. Consistency is a key element in a positive experience, which is achieved by always following recipes. A bartender must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. A bartender should be organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure.
