We are seeking a skilled and passionate plant-based Pastry Cook to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious vegan pastries, cakes, and desserts that will delight our customers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and icing
- Ensure that all baked goods are of high quality, visually appealing, and taste delicious
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Develop new pastry recipes and menu items
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of various vegan pastry techniques and cake decorating methods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
