The Position: Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Professional and Global Education (PaGE), the Director of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for leading all Marketing and Communications activities for the college and university-related international programs. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing and communication plans, market research and analytics, branding, web development and management, social media, digital media, publications (digital and print), advertising, customer relationship management (CRM) platform activities, and public relations. The incumbent will be a strategic, innovative, and collaborative leader who can develop and execute marketing campaigns that result in greater brand awareness and increased growth in prospective student inquiries and enrollments into academic and training programs offered by the college and the university. The incumbent will effectively manage the department’s marketing budget and resources to achieve departmental goals and growth targets. The Director will supervise department staff and student assistants, as well as collaborate closely with College of PaGE directors, staff, university departments, and external partners. The Director is a member of the College’s senior leadership team and will contribute to the attainment of the mission and goals of the College, the Academic Affairs Division, and the University. |
Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. Three years of proven experience in a marketing manager or similar role. Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of marketing, marketing research, public affairs, and media relations. Comprehensive understanding of marketing, sales, business development and strategic planning. Excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

Desired Qualifications: Work experience with higher education. Work experience with and an understanding of international audiences, cultures, and markets. Working knowledge of business and industry in the greater Los Angeles area. |
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range is $4,583 - $14,713/monthly. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Appointment: The Administrator II appointment will be made under the guidelines for management and supervisory employees of the California State University. All rights and benefits associated with this appointment are governed by the Management Personnel Plan.
This position is a "designated position" in the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. The successful candidate accepting this position is required to file Conflict of Interest forms subject to the regulations of the Fair Political Practices Commission.
