SUMMARY: |
The Training Specialist/Instructional Designer role is instrumental in supporting the Bank's culture of continuous learning and employees' professional development. Under the guidance of the Director of Learning and Development, they are responsible for the creation and delivery of online, in-person, and live-remote training, and interactive and engaging learning resources to create pathways for employee success. |
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: |
* Deliver and assist in the design of courses for various levels of the employee journey such as new employee orientation for all employees, as well as, new hire training for retail bankers and other key customer facing positions. * Provide coaching and organizational support as facilitator of trainings and workshops such as respectful workplace, consultative sales and customer service delivery. * Design, develop and enhance visually appealing, engaging and effective learning materials (e.g., job aids, articles, product sheets, video blogs and interviews, modeling videos). * Create content for Learning & Development site and provide support to bank departments in providing resources on the Bank's SharePoint site and Intranet. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders/subject matter experts in the development of learning content creation and program implementation. * Leverage and promote available technologies to advance employee learning and development bank-wide. * Assist with administration of Learning Management System and provide support to Bank users as needed. * Contribute to projects and initiatives in support of department and Bank goals |

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: |
LEVEL I & II Bachelor degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Training, English, Communications, Instructional Design, or Education), or equivalent experience required. LEVEL III Bachelor degree required, preferably in a related field (Business, Finance, Training, English, Communications, Instructional Design, or Education). Master's degree preferred. |
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: |
EXPERIENCE: LEVEL I: Minimum of two years of retail banking experience (e.g., sales, customer service, consumer lending, computer systems, and/or coaching others in a financial services organization), or equivalent work experience in developing and delivering adult learning training/solutions. LEVEL II: Minimum of three years of retail banking experience (e.g., sales, customer service, consumer lending, computer systems, and/or coaching others in a financial services organization), including supervisory experience, or equivalent work experience in developing and delivering adult learning training/ solutions. LEVEL III: Minimum of four years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience to include at least six years in sales, customer service, consumer lending, computer systems, and coaching others in a financial services organization Training Specialist I/Instructional Designer I - Ability to perform the following tasks with coaching and/or supervision & guidance:
Training Specialist I/Instructional Designer II - Ability to perform the above and below tasks with minimal coaching, supervision and guidance:
Training Specialist / Instructional Designer III should be able to perform all of the above and below tasks with minimal coaching and/or supervision & guidance:
