The Clinical Director coordinates the delivery of basic and chronic care in a community-based free health clinic, including medical care, nursing care, dental care, pharmacy, social services, laboratory services, and health education. Supervises the volunteer and paid clinical staff and eligibility screener/receptionist. Oversees ongoing quality improvement of patient care. Collaborates with the Medical, Dental, and Pharmacy Directors and Executive Director in the expansion of services and development of new clinical programs.
Bachelor's degree in an accredited nursing program with current licensure as an RN in the state of North Carolina required. At least five years nursing management experience and understanding of a medical clinic desired. Strong clinical skills, independent judgement, and ability to work well with volunteers. Current CPR certification. Accepts the mission of the clinic and has the ability to imbue others with this mission.
