Professional I - Family to Family Wrap Specialist Family to Family (495)
Job Summary
Provides wrap around supportive services to biological, adoptive, foster and kinship families as referred by both The Division of Children and Family Services and the programs geographic service are as.
The Wrap Specialist will with work with families to assess need and develops service plans that help promote family stability and reduce the risk of child maltreatment.
The Wrap Specialist is an active member of the Heights Suburban Collaborative Team and is accountable to the Heights Suburban Collaborative Program Supervisor.
Essential Job Duties &Responsibilities
- Works as part of the Heights Suburban Collaborative Team to insure that the program meets all identified deliverables,
- Implements wrap around services by developing, convening and being responsible for individual services plans that work to address family needs.
- Must have the ability to engage families, do effective interviewing, develop mutually agreed intervention plans, and terminate clients as appropriate.
- Assist in the development of the resource guide and identification of services and programs that can assist families.
Facilitates structured supervision during and following family visitation utilizing the visit coaching and effective parenting program model for low risk cases.
- Will participate in the implementation and execution of all program evaluation activities in keeping with CFC and funder requirements.
- Maintains strong relationships with staff and stakeholders of the program
- Responsible for maintaining an active caseload, data in electronic record and produce desired outcomes.
- Attend Team Decision Making meetings at DCFS and serve as an advocate to families.
- Properly document work, keep statistics as mandated by the program, and meet all required program standards.
- Learn and work proficiently to meet data input requirements of NCIS database system.
- Establish cooperative relationships with local agencies, businesses and community organizations. Maintain current Community Partnership agreements.
- Identify and reach out to and support perspective Foster or Adoptive Parents to aid in licensure completion
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Must have bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field, LSW preferred.
Experience working with fragile and at risk families; 2-3 years preferred
Bi-lingual preferred
Able to work occasional evening / weekend hours.
Valid Driver’s License, with proof of valid insurance required.
No record of child abuse or moral turpitude as determined by background check based on fingerprints.

- Must have basic computer skills.
- Demonstrating sound judgment in every process.
Upon hire
- Certification in CPR / First Aid, Communicable Disease, Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention required upon hire.
