Responsibilities
The Draper Program Finance organization is looking for a Program Finance Analyst 2 that will support our Space Systems business area. In this important role the analyst will be part of a high-performing Finance organization and a member of a business area that is providing advanced and autonomous guidance, navigation, and control to fault-tolerant computing and software design solutions that enable space exploration. Draper Program Finance collaborates with our internal and external customers as the business partner of choice to ensure they have the financial acumen, accuracy, and dedicated support to execute significant contracts in support of national defense.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have an analytical approach, a customer focus, strong attention to detail, and will provide superior service to internal partners.
The responsibilities for this role include the following:
Program Performance Support and Reporting:
- Supports the program execution baseline development, baseline changes as needed, for programs with and without Earned Value requirements
- Supports the development and maintains the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) / Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers)
- Supports required internal and external reporting on key performance indicators like program cost and schedule performance, including Earned Value Mgt (where applicable)
- Supports CAMs with the timely completion of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process, processing time-phased estimate to complete updates, and EAC package support
- Helps quantify and analyze impacts of program-level Risks & Opportunities for the estimate at complete (EAC) and the execution baseline.
Program Financial Planning and Reporting:
- Integral team member in developing the program level time-phased planning of cost by month, by cost element, and associated fee to support an overall program level view of revenue for forecasts, budgets, and 5-year planning processes (IBP)
- Provides the financial data inputs, analysis, and applicable variance narrative for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) (as needed)
- Evaluate program/contract financials, funding, invoicing, and Collaborates with Program Management and Billings teams to drive timely invoicing and actively support collection of customer receivables
- Collaborates with the program team on contract modifications (as needed) and contract closeout activities
- Supports ad hoc tasks, special projects, and internal and external audits as required
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with program financial controls with DoD programs
- Have an understanding of program financial control activities, budgeting, EAC’s
- Prior experience with reporting program metrics (such as headcount, EVM metrics)
- Experience with different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M)
- Computer skills, which include a proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to break down issues, problem-solve, and communicate solutions effectively
- Detail oriented with the ability to ensure tasks are completed on time and accurately
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles
- Understands information in MOCAS and WAWF (where applicable)
- Able to handle, prioritize, and communicate multiple priorities
- Proficient verbal and written communication
- Self-starter that is capable of working independently and in a team environment
