Provide mission assurance by mitigating risks and enhancing opportunities associated with cost, schedule, technical performance, and compliance throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Ensure best practices during the planning, requirements development/management, design, implementation, test, documentation, deployment, and maintenance; perform other essential tasks as assigned by the task lead such as products/process audits, engineering change or release (ECR) reviews, peer reviews / inspections, communication/coordination with project/task/group leads, generating metrics/reports. In addition the are opportunities to support as a software independent verification
and validation (SW IV&V) engineer that ensures requirements are properly implemented and thoroughly tested.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, software or math)
5 years of work experience
2 years of experience in programming languages such as C, C , Java in Windows, UNIX or Solaris environments
Familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle); quality assurance methodologies, root cause analysis & corrective action
Ability to anticipate problems and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks; prioritize, multitask, work independently and as a team

This position will require the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance. Main requirement for a security clearance is US Citizenship.
