What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Director position at The Chautauqua Center?
Purpose: The Project Director will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Project Director will also serve as the internal compliance officer working with the management team to ensure overall compliance. In this role the Project Director will have a portion of compliance oversight along with the QA/QI Risk Manager, who also has a portion of the job.
Job Duties:
· Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, while considering the unique requirements of healthcare projects.
· Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, to ensure effective project execution and communication
· Ensure projects adhere to healthcare industry regulations and standards, including HIPAA, FDA guidelines, and other relevant compliance requirements.
· Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays or obstacles.
· Maintain detailed project documentation, track progress, and provide regular reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
· Oversee and monitor the organization’s compliance program, along with the QA/QI Risk Manager
· Report on a regular basis to the organization’s CEO and QARC on the activities of the compliance program
· Revise the compliance program periodically in response to changes in regulations and in accordance with the needs of the organization
· Develop and coordinate an educational and training program for employees on the elements of the compliance program and ensure employees are knowledgeable of relevant federal and state regulations
· Ensure that independent contractors who provide services in the organization are aware of the compliance program
· Work with human resources to ensure all employees and contractors have been screened and checked against sanction and exclusion lists
· Assist in internal compliance review and monitoring activities
· Investigate and act on compliance matters including coordinating corrective actions
· Develop policies and programs that encourage employees to report suspected compliance issues
· All other duties as assigned
Education/Skills/Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
· Proven experience in project management within the healthcare industry, including successful project completion.
· Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, such as HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
· Project management certification is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry best practices.
· Knowledge with Microsoft, Electronic Health Records and other technologies
· Strong communication and analytic skills
· Attention to detail and ability to function both as part of a team and independently
Reports to: CEO
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 (varies based on experience)
Hours: 40 hours/week (salaried Exempt)
